My prayer times look wrong

Almost always the calculation method. Different authorities use different sun angles for Fajr and Isha, and mosques in the same city can differ by ten minutes or more.

Go to More → Prayer times & calculation and pick the method your local mosque follows. If you are not sure, ask them which one they use — it is the single setting that matters most. Common choices: Muslim World League across Europe, ISNA in North America, Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, Karachi across South Asia.

Two more worth knowing:

I'm not getting notifications

Work down this list:

Why the app needs opening occasionally. iOS only holds a limited number of pending notifications, so the app schedules a couple of weeks ahead and refreshes the window whenever you open it. Leave it closed for a long time and the schedule eventually runs out. Opening it for a second is enough to top it up.

The adhan doesn't play — I just get the normal sound

Check the prayer's Sound is set to Adhan rather than Silent or Beep, under More → Notifications → the prayer.

If the sound is right but you still hear the default tone, the phone is probably enforcing something above the app: a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode, or the ringer switch. The prayer-time notification is marked time-sensitive so it should come through Focus, but this can be turned off per-app in system settings.

To hear a recording in full, use the play button on More → Notifications → a prayer → Recording. That plays the complete adhan and ignores the ringer switch, so it is the quickest way to tell whether the audio itself is fine.

Choosing which adhan plays

Each prayer can use its own recording — More → Notifications & adhan, pick a prayer, then Recording. Preview them with the play button, and use Use for every prayer to apply one to all five at once.

The notification plays a shortened clip rather than the whole adhan, because iOS will not play a notification sound longer than thirty seconds.

The qibla compass spins or points the wrong way

It needs a magnetometer, which simulators and some tablets do not have. On a real phone, calibrate by moving it in a figure-eight a few times, and step away from anything magnetic — laptops, speakers, cases with magnetic closures, and car dashboards all pull the needle.

Setting my location without GPS

Under More → Location there are three ways that need no location permission at all: pick a city from the bundled list, enter coordinates directly, or drop a pin on a map. Any of them can be saved for quick switching later.

Does it work offline?

Yes, almost entirely. Prayer times are calculated on your device, and the Quran and the hadith collections are bundled in the app. The only screen needing a connection is the drop-a-pin map.

Reporting a problem

There is a feedback form in the app under More → Send feedback, which can attach your settings and app version — that context usually saves a round trip, especially for prayer-time questions where the method and location are what matter.

Or email yahyaelfard.ye@gmail.com directly. For a timings problem, please include your city and which method you have selected.
